Cards like this one are starting to become few and far between - at least when it comes to getting a quad-output card that can handle both VGA and DVI adapters. At my job, we just upgraded our conference room, and we have a 4 monitor setup (2 TVs and 2 projectors), but unfortunately, the projectors are a little old, and so they really only do good with VGA inputs. Quad-output cards aren't all that uncommon, but finding one that handles VGA with DVI is actually more difficult than one thinks (I know Matrox cards are probably good ones too, but they also cost an arm and a leg....) This card is a rare gem.Plugged in no problem to our HP dx2400 desktop -- after a couple minutes downloading the driver and installing it, rebooted the machine, and worked like a charm. One thing to note -- for some reason, the Catalyst software decided to run in "Demo Video" mode the first time it started up -- don't know why, but shutting it off was a pain. Apparently it's supposed to be easier to turn off in "Advanced" mode - don't believe it. Go to "Standard" mode in the preferences, then go to Video - Quality - and scroll down and uncheck "Demo Video". Problem solved....There is something else -- ATI made the outputs quite close, and because of this, the 2 adapters, when you use both together -- actually won't screw in fully. They'll plug in ok, but trying to fully tighten them with the screws won't fly... It seems to be stable, but just something to note...Besides that, though -- I really have no problems with this card.Especially if you need to use VGA alongside DVI, this card can't be beat for the price!
