Well...I have this GPU paired up with a Crosshair V Formula board and a FX-8150. I have the CPU overclocked to 4.5ghz and this is a good match to the card.Pros: Extremely quiet compared to my old card: and XFX 5870. The single fan on the 5870 was MUCH louder than the 7950. Unless you manually increase the fan speed you will hardly notice that it's there. My corsair H80 makes much more noise while on the medium cooling setting.Also, it doesn't accept huge overclocks but I was able to get a stable overclock at 1025mhz on the GPU clock and 1425mhz on the memory clock using the catalyst software. Super easy using sliders in the catalyst software. This does pretty good on BF3(the main reason I got this card). I don't have any benchmarks...but the improvement over the 5870 is significant...at least 20-30 fps depending on the map.I also like the physical looks of the card. It looks pretty good in my HAF 932 case. I personally love the silver on red trim for the side of the card that faces you when you look at the MB.Cons: Not many at this point. I don't like the fact that the XFX warranty has been decreased to 2 years. I really liked the double lifetime coverage on my old XFX card.Overall...unless anything crazy happens...I'm extremely happy. The latest drivers work well and this card is super stable. Hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

I planned to install a 2-disk RAID 1 (mirrored) on two free internal SATA ports using Windows 7 built-in disk management utility. However, for reasons I could never quite pin down, Windows choked on the two Hitachi Deskstar 3K7000 2TB drives I was using. After trying everything to get them configured, I changed course and instead located this PCI Express card from Highpoint, which provides 2 internal SATA and 2 external eSATA ports, all running at 3.0 Gbps. This is a 4-channel card, so you can run all 4 ports simultaneously. I also have an external WD My Book Studio II, so the external ports on this card are a necessity.The card comes with two combo SATA power and data cables for the internal drives, but no eSATA cables, so you'll have to buy those separately. There's a clearly written short user's guide that covers the basics of installation. There's a CD with driver files, but you should instead download the latest versions at Highpoint's website. They've got all the bases covered, with versions for Windows 2000, XP, Server 2008, Vista, and Win 7, as well as Mac and several flavors of Linux. There's also a drive management utility that lets you check drive status and configure your RAID from within the OS. First-time configuration is handled through a BIOS-level utility that is accessed by pressing Ctrl-H when you boot.The user interface for the drive configuration utility is simple and cleanly designed. I think you'd have to try really hard to goof up when configuring--the utility clearly steps you through the whole process. From plugging the card in to starting to copy files to the new mirrored RAID, it took about 20 minutes start to finish. Everything is working smoothly, and I'm getting about 70 MBps sustained transfer rates between the internal RAID and the WD eSATA drive.No complaints at all about this unit. Another plus is Highpoint's well-organized website at www.highpoint-tech.com. This is my first purchase of one of their products, and I'm sure I'll be back for more.

I may not be too much help to many of you but I have done a fair bit of research on this item due to unrelated issues so I will save you the trouble.This card worked well while it lasted but because I had a bad power supply it got fried. Not the card's fault but what can be said of it is that it gave me acceptable framerates, 20-30 fps, on Crysis with high settings and 2x anti aliasing.However, because I was having overheating issues with this card because of the power supply, I researched general overheating problems with this Asus CuCore Radeon HD 5770. This card is built on a 40nm process, which means that it should run cooler than other cards that have a larger build process. Yet people who didn't have my power supply problems were reporting higher than normal temperatures.The tech savvy ones took off the cooler to find that there were dimples and even waves in the copper surface that is used to transfer heat from the graphics chip to the heatsink and fan. When I took off my cooler I found circular grooves on the copper surface so this isn't just an isolated issue. Apparently the build quality of the CuCore cooler is less than stellar.Now these temperatures are not going to fry the card. GPUs can handle nearly 100 degrees Celsius before they begin to see problems and the reports I've read said temps were no higher than 86 degrees. However, better cooled cards will rarely go over 75 degrees so you see the issue. If that still seems too high for you I suggest getting the Sapphire Vapor-X for thirty dollars more. You would have to spend that same amount to get an aftermarket cooler for the Card anyway.If 10 degrees Celsius and the trouble of installing an aftermarket card are too much for you, I suggest passing on this card due to poor build quality.

IF YOU ARE NOT QUALIFIED TO WORK ON ELECTRICAL DEVICES OR MACHINES, GET A QUALIFIED TECHNICIAN TO INSTALL THIS CARD!!!ALWAYS: Make sure you have positively discharged any static electricity you may have stored by touching a known ground.I wanted to set up four computer monitors because I am using audio and video software, and I need to be able to spread out all the relative windows for these programs for fast and easy reference and adjustment. This card is simple and plain forward.After changing the plate to long (it comes with shallow mounting plate installed, but includes long mount plate) the card slides right into the PCIe x16 slot designated for video use on most computers. Connecting the VGA cables is pretty much brainless, and the output plugs are numbered from one to four. If you are setting up linear (all in a row)it is easy as one two three. It currently says (I say currently, things can always change) it will work for two monitor configurations, three monitor configurations and a total of four. (What I have).Anyway, after you have followed instructions of how to install the disc and monitors (companies can change the order of which comes first, the card or the disc so fair warning)Setting up the displays is a cinch. It doesn't really matter which number cables out go to which monitors you have in which sequence, because the program goes though a monitor identification mode that will organize the monitors regardless of which output you've plugged into.There are other adjustments you can use if you want to, I chose to manage the color hue and other settings with the HP monitor management program rather than a program designed to be.... generic.So, in conclusion, I will give a 5 stars, because of reasonable price, ease of set up and use, and the overall quality of the product. Regarding all things computer, I pretty much waited for many years before diving into the world of computers. Why? Because I observed many friends and associates going through an endless cycle of problems and issues that always seemed to need an expert to resolve. These problems always arose with the addition or modification of software and hardware.I finally got a throw away computer, to see if computers were beyond this point, and to my happiness, found that computers these days will automatically find 'drivers' and make needed adjustments whenever you changed or added something.For ease of use, I give this one 4 stars, a person needs to know how to safely handle computers components to succeed with a task like this.REMEMBER, electricity can kill you. This is the graphics card I have atm. It plays the graphics heavy game FFXIV well on average settings. I have also played the game on max settings and only experienced small lag in congested or video heavy zones. A good card for the money.
