Just a quick review of this card. I upgraded from a 2 1/2 old PNY 9600GT which is also a great card BTW. What I first noticed about the GTX 460 is that it was shorter than my 9600GT by 1/2" (only 8 1/2") which helped when fitting it in my case. It is also a dual slot card (width) which was not a problem fitting it in. It installed very easy and I was up and running in minutes. The first thing I noticed on starting my PC was, how quite this card is over my 9600GT, even when under load you do not hear it. I also checked the temps and the GTX 460 idle temps are about 10C lower than the 9600GT was. Under load it did not go over 62C and would quickly drop back to normal temps after going to idle again. My 9600GT would drop, but would take a while to get back to idle temps. Game play; I have only tried it with "Lord of the Rings Online" but the first thing I noticed was LOTROL updated my graphic settings to Ultra and Very high. With my 9600GT LOTROL always wanted to keep it running at Medium to high with resolution turned down. Also the color and physix were very much improved, I found myself noticing things I had never seen before. I ran some benchmarks as well (synthetic) and my performance improved by a good 40-50% over my 9600GT. I also read that you need a high powered CPU/Power supply etc, well here are my spec's (not high powered at all) and it runs very well with this;Intel Core 2 Q6600 @ 2.4ghz G0 stepping (Yes I plan to OC it!)ASUS P5Q Motherboard4GB ram Corsair XPNY XLR8 GTX 460 1024mbWin XP Pro-SP3 (Soon to be Win 7 Pro 64bit)PC power & cooling 610watt PS I am sure I will see even more performance once I OC' my Quad core. I have read to squeeze the full potential out of these "Fermi" gpu's you need to run at least a 2.8ghz Dual Core CPU but I think it does very well with what I have and I have seen a major improvement over my previous card in performance, color and PhysX. If you are still running an older GPU G92/GT200 or ATI 3000/4000 series this might be a card to check out.
