This card meets Spore's requirement. However, the card requires a power supply of at least 350W. In the midst of my frustrations of trying to refurbish my Dell Dimension 3000 to work with this card, I was thinking to simply get a newer computer. Yet the new and cheap desktop computers I visited at Best Buy and Staples have power supply box up to 300W. (Had to ask the guys to open the box to find the watt data.) Nor would their integrated video port meet the Spore criteria. If I purchased one of them, it would mean that I had to exchange this PCI card to one for PCIe bus. The gaming computers on eBay are around $1000, which would be an overkill for my kids. In conclusion, this card does work. Refer my comment to Indy's fine review.
