Nvidia readily supports this card. Try to find a decent PCI card for $35.00. This FX-5500 chipset was placed on boards to support a wide variety of formats. I've seen models that support for instance PCI-e and AGP. Nvidia even built a PCI version. If you need a PCI card to revive an older PC that would be front lawn material without Linux, Get This Card. With 256 megs of memory, you can eliminate the cheap onboard Intel graphics chip that steals system memory and now be able to activate all of the Unity and Compiz eye-candy. I installed it on an old HP with 1G of RAM and a 2.0Ghz P4. Linux OZ Unity 1.0 Intro, great for beginners, is very easy to use and an absolute work of art. I turned a piece of junk into a fast, feature filled system for 35 bucks! I want to thank everyone on the Oz Unity 1.0 Intro team. You guys ROCK, Ultimate Edition 3.2 ROCKS and your new 64bit ONYX is phenomenal.Linux is FREE. Micro$oft's OS is just that, a resource intensive, bloated empty shell that, to use it, you first pour money into it buying your favorite applications and resource robbing anti-virus software. It's perfect for the temporarily unenlightened with credit cards that are yet to be max'd out. Wake up people OZ (and Linux in general) needs no anti-virus, is recommend by top experts to resist online banking exploits and is preloaded with all of the software you need with hundreds more, tested and safely stored in repositories (not blood thirsty websites), just for Linux... and FREE! Will also run most of your Window applications using pre-installed Wine(windows emulator).
