I bought this to replace a faulty Nvidia GT 220 and so far it's worked like a charm and runs very cool--around 32-35 degrees C. I should mention that I don't run Windows on my machine, Linux Mint (main edition) being my main OS with two other test partitions for distro hopping. Currently I have Chakra Linux "Edn" (based on Arch) installed in one and PCLinuxOS (based on Mandriva) in the other. The point being that the GT 430 has been automatically/semi-automatically (depending on the distro) detected and the correct driver has been installed (Nvidia 270 and 275). One thing to keep in mind is that the GT 430's forte is multimedia and entertainment and not heavy gaming. As such it works great for everyday use, light gaming/older PC games, websites that are heavy with Flash, HTML5, etc and script (like web based games and apps), video streaming and for using your PC as an entertainment center. Those who wish to run the latest high end PC games should look to the higher end video cards though. The Nvidia GPU and 1.0 GB of DDR3 memory takes a load off your CPU as well.Highly recommended.
