I use this card in a Ubuntu (Linux) server. I use standard IR security cameras, no audio. As with anything Linux related you may need to tweak the system, but it works out of the box.The card drops down to about 3 frames per second for each port when all four ports are used at the same time. A more expensive card would have a higher frame rate. For the price I am satisfied. The frame rate doesn't seem to hinder the use of Zoneminder, a security software package used to monitor the cameras.
