I use SolidWorks so I bought this card since SW recommends a Quadro graphics card. For the money it was a good choice. Things to know: Be sure you have the correct slot on your computer motherboard that will accept this card, it's a PCI-express x16 slot. The package includes an adaptor cable so if you don't have an DVI monitor and only a VGA monitor you will still be able to connect to your VGA monitor. You may need to change the mounting card bracket on the Quadro 600 depending on the size of your computer card mounting bracket slot. There are two screws on the Quadro 600 card that must be removed to change the metal mounting bracket. A small bracket is attached with the card but my computer is older and has the larger bracket so I needed to switch them. This takes a little time and you must have a very small cross head screw driver. Once this was done I was able to install the card and software.The software allows you to set-up for 32-bit or 64-bit operation. This card is quite, operation is smooth and it's much better for SW's CAD than the stock Ge-Force motherboard graphics card that came with my Athlon II X4 computer. It looks high tech and modern so it appears some thought was given to the styling and layout of this card. I would have to say based on my research it's the latest technology for this price range. This card is listed as a mid-level graphics card in some of the speed rating test but Nvidia has it listed as an entry level card at the top of their list, probably since it's the newest card in that catagory.If you need a cost-effective graphics card for CAD programs this card should work quite well. I create complicated CAD models with lots of parts and the rotation, zoom-in and out operations are smooth without any hangups which is something I couldn't say about my stock graphics card. Rendering details and colors are very realistic looking.I recommend this card for the money and if this card is any indication of the quality of the more expensive Quadro cards I could imagine how well those cards must work.
