I was able to install this on an older motherboard with a pci express 1.1. I had no issues with it. This is running in ubuntu 11.10. It allowed me to get decent graphics without having to upgrade motherboard. No issues on delivery.

This bundle is a fantastic value for the price. The card is quite powerful, easily running BF3 on High with an average 40-60 FPS, Crysis on Ultra at a solid 60 FPS, and Metro 2033 on ultra at around 50 FPS. The card isn't quite Top-of-the-Line but its very meaty for what it is.(P.S. The card is pretty damn big so make sure you case has room for it.)As for the other items in the bundle..Another HDMI Cable never hurts. An extra 8gbs of RAM also never hurt anyone. On BF3, direct your attention to the actual BF3 review page here on Amazon for a more in-depth review. (I like the game alot. I had it on my PS3 but the experience is so much better on a good PC).OVERALL: A great value for the price. If your looking to build a good spec PC, don't miss out on this bundle, as it comes with so many great parts.

I bought this for my aging Dell 4600, which is a 3.1 Ghz single core processor. I am running it with 3GB of ram with minimal programs on Windowx XP SP2.; so very old. I bought this to supplement my PS3 and be able to play some games that are not available for console or solely for XBox 360.After popping this card into my AGP slot, I was able to install the latest drivers and had no problem connecting through HDMI (which is a plus for this card). This is important though. The video card requires a double slot inside your computer. One for the video card connecting the AGP and another for space for the fan. If you have little room or use all of your PCI slots, then you might have issues with this.My only real difficulty was with the software. I downloaded 10-6_agp-hotfix_xp32_dd_ccc.exe from ATI and the drivers worked perfectly. However, by default the viewing screen is skewed by a 15% I think, and this can only be changed in Catalyst Control Center, which I could not get to load. I had downgrade to 9-9_xp32-64_ccc_lang1.exe just for the CCC to work properly. Not sure exactly why this occurred, but it caused me a headache of a few hours trying to driver clean and re-install a dozen times.Anyway after fixing the issue, I promptly booted up Left For Dead 2, and all I can say is wow. I am able to run it at 1920x1080 with most settings at high. The rich detail looked better than my PS3 does in most games. I also tried Fallout 3 and am able to run most setting at max; had to turn down some AA and AF settings however. Regardless, it was a huge boost in visual quality than my previous X700. I plan on trying out Splinter Cell next, and will report back.Keep in mind though, this is a a bit expensive compared to a similar PCI Express card. And, if you plan to upgrade your system anytime soon, then I wouldn't recommend purchasing this. However, if you need something to revitalize that aging system of yours, then you will not be let down.

Bought this to replace my Tri-Sli GTX470 setup and I am SOOOO glad I did! This GTX 670 is a MONSTER! The 1.2GB vRam of the 470's was holding me back! I game at 6000x1080 (3x 24"HD Monitors + bezel correction) and I was struggling to run Battlefield 3 at Medium settings. I swapped for this SINGLE GTX 670 4GB and now I manage 30+ fps on ULTRA! The only thing I turned down was AA to 2xMSAA; Motion Blur to OFF (I like the effect, but to rank with the best, I turn it off) and turned down Aliasing Post to "Low." As an added benefit, the 670 only consumes 220watts (with my overclock setting; 200+ Core, 175+ Mem) which is NOTHING compared to my 700watt+ draw with my OC'ed 470's. My OC'ed 670 tops at 70C max at 70%fan.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR TRIPLE MONITOR/HIGH RES GAMERS!I ALSO RECOMMEND THIS 4GB version versus any 2GB version. Battlefield 3 at 6000x1080 and Ultra settings uses 1.8GB of vRAM. IMHO, it is worth the extra $50 for the 4GB. I forsee future games passing the 2GB mark (which would bottleneck on the 2GB cards) such as Crysis 3 and Far Cry 3. Especially with High-res Texture packs! For those who aren't aware, vRAM doesn't scale with SLI either (so don't look for SlI-ing two 2GB cards to solve this). Although I had THREE 1.28GB 470's, they don't combine to create "3.84GB" of vRAM. Each graphics card gets "loaded" with the same files. THEN they split the rendering process between them. SO, I still only had 1.28GB of vRAM total.*EDIT*FYI, Crysis 2 @ 6000x1080 maxed with High-res textures consumes 2.2GB vRAM. This would already be bottle-necking on a 2GB card.Pros:Out performs my THREE GTX470's at 1/3rd the wattage!Runs Cool and Quiet (especially compared to my 470's)Has 4GB option (which I HIGHLY recommend for High-res Gamers)Cons:Price? (but seriously, don't buy what you can't afford---and I doubt this matters since you know these cards exist so you know what you are getting into LOL)A+ By my standards! I can't wait to order a second one! The car is what you could expect from the Quadro range, an excellent piece of hardware with very good performances with professional applications. If you are only after casual 3D modeling or for gaming, it is better (less expensive) to look for a GTX 580, however for professional use this is an outstanding product.I also give 5 star because of the Amazon service : it happened to me that a wrong board was sent the first time : I was obviously disappointed and sent a claim to Amazon. To my amazement, in less than 24 hours they acknowledged it and sent over a new board (on December 24th) without asking a single question. I can honestly say I never experienced an aftersales service like this.

While the original list price for this video card is $95, there are rebates and sales ongoing which can drive the price down to nearly $50 - that's how I got mine yesterday. The video card itself is attractively designed; the 100mm fan provides some serious cooling (without having to connect an additional power line) and the blue PCB matches the color of my motherboard (also by Gigabyte) very nicely. The big fan, however, can cover up the PCIx1 slot on some motherboards (including my Gigabyte 78LMT-S2P), which is potentially awkward if you were wanting to use that expansion slot. Installation of both hardware and drivers was easy, and I obtained the latest ATI Catalyst drivers almost immediately upon installation (the driver CD includes, I believe, version 11.5; the latest Catalyst suite at the time of writing is 12.0/12.1). The card includes a VGA (D-Sub) connector for legacy monitors, though if you have a monitor with DVI capability, such as my HP S2031, you will certainly want to use the DVI connector on the card.Graphics quality in conjunction with my S2031 monitor is excellent so far. I bought this card especially to play the upcoming Guild Wars 2, and while that game (which is in closed beta at time of writing) isn't out yet, my Windows Experience Index has been boosted from an original, and somewhat lackluster, score of 4.9 with the integrated video that I was originally using to 6.8. The card carries a printed requirement of a 400W minimum power supply, which is less demanding than high-end graphics cards.Overall, remember that this is essentially a midrange card, but it has ample power and the new price deals make it a very attractive option for those who are looking to upgrade their Radeon video from one of the lower-range cards but can't afford one of the heavy hitters like the 6870 or 6970. I really would rate it 4.5 stars if I could; I'd like to give it 5 stars but really haven't had the card in my system long enough.EDIT (August 18, 2012): After extensively playing through the open-beta phase of Guild Wars 2 (3 beta weekend events and 7 stress tests), I can report that this card handles the game very well. Most of the graphics settings are set by default to "Medium" with this card, so you shouldn't expect - as I advised in February - quality to be as good as a high-end card. "Medium" graphics quality in GW2, however, is as good or better than a lot of other games, and certainly better than GW1.Another note I need to add is that the official power-supply rating is too low. While the box says you can use a 400-watt power supply, you really need a 500W PS for extended gaming or other graphics-heavy operations. I found this out the hard way when the 400W PS that came with my custom-built system crapped out early on in the third GW2 beta weekend last month; I had to take it back to the shop (fortunately under warranty) and have a more powerful PS installed. I ended up playing the rest of the beta weekend on my laptop (not a big deal, really, since I'd needed to see how well my laptop could handle the game - quite well, as it turns out, but that's a different subject).
