Installed this card on an old Dell Dimension 2400. Went from using one monitor at 1280x768 to using two, one at 1920x1080(DVI) and the other at 1280x768(VGA).This card is a good upgrade to older systems that already meet your needs except that they could use more monitor space. I primarily wanted to get dual monitor functionality and wanted my new 27" to run at 1920x1080. This card satisfied both of those needs perfectly and has extended the life of my antique Dimension 2400 by several years. I am using this for regular applications, I can't attest to how games perform. After disabling the on-board graphics controller there may also be some performance gains as well, i'm not sure yet. Keep in mind, this card is for PCI slots, not PCI-express, which makes it perfect for older systems that only have PCI slots.There may be some difficulties with the install. At first, I plugged the card in and got a blank screen once Windows started. I then rebooted and started in Safe Mode. Once in Safe Mode I installed the drivers from the provided CD. There was an error when installing the audio drivers from the disc, I was able to afterwards boot regularly however anyway and get full HD video resolution. I then downloaded the latest drivers from Nvidia and everything went smoothly from there out. I disabled the on-board graphics controller, then plugged the 27" in via DVI and the 19" in via VGA and rebooted. After a little configuring in the display properties I had everything set up like I wanted it.To clarify, this card WILL support 1920x1080 if your monitor supports it. The card WILL support dual monitor functionality - either by using one with the DVI plug (either straight DVI or DVI to VGA conversion, for which the adapter is provided) and the other the VGA plug, or by using one of these plugs in combination with your on-board graphics controller. One thing that might also be possible is two monitors via this card and a third using the on-board controller. I don't have three monitors so I couldn't test this. Finally, this card is PCI NOT PCI-express. This is ideal for everyone who has older machines like mine that have a few upgrades here and there and are perfectly functional but just don't have enough monitor space.Bottom line, great card for older PCI slotted systems if you want more monitor space.
