Not being able to afford a gtx690, I went with this 680. It absolutely MANHANDLED Crysis, Crysis 2, Max Payne 3, Arkham City, and Modern Warfare 3 all on highest settings. None of these games ran at less than 70 fps. I was easily getting over 100 fps on Crysis, but then again, that game is 5 years old.The card didn't even break 60-65C which I was really surprised about. It currently idles at about 40C which I think may be pretty low (I've got two 120mm fans on it).Not even sure I would need to do SLI as this card blew away every game I threw at it.Still need to try the 3d capabilities with some games and blu-ray but I am limited by my monitor (Samsung 22inch lcd from 2009)System:Core i7 3930k hexacore32gb corsair vengeanceAsus p9x79 deluxe
