Onboard video controller on my Phenom II FSB2.6 GBs motherboard failed; it would not send any signal to my monitor. I went to Best Buy and paid $63 with tax. I would normally buy on Amazon or Ebay but I needed my PC up and running right away. Sorry Amazon. I installed the card, plugged in the power and keyboard/mouse cables and pressed the on button; my motherboard automatically detected the new video card and worked perfect. I started in safe mode; installed the drivers. Drivers installed in about 3 minutes. I shut down and restarted normally and decided to post my good fortune. I use my PC for web surfing, word, excel and some film editing. I value a quiet PC and don't mind a slightly slower speed on cpu or video; so I normally would buy a video card without a fan but rather a large heat sink. This video card has a small fan which adds a few decibels to the noise. I know most people will say the small fan noise is almost imperceptible but that's my preference.
