Good cooling is a must, This card is great. SysBuilder  |  4 reviewers made a similar statement
EVGA's aftermarket cooler was a nice bonus as well, the 2 fans really help keep the inside of my case cool and the metal shroud around it has a premium feel. Patrick  |  3 reviewers made a similar statement
90fps in Crysis with all 'Very High' settings, 90-100fps in Metro 2033 with all 'Very High' settings and DX11-Mode. Don  |  2 reviewers made a similar statement

The GTX 570 has the best price-to-performance ratio out there. EVGA has the best, most reliable cutomer service and warranty out there. If you're looking into getting a graphics card, the EVGA GTX 570 is the way to go, and with the DoubleShot being about the same price as the reference cooled cards, its a no-brainer. I got this card for SLI, it's my second EVGA 570. The first was a reference HD, which was great of course. Unbelievably great, actually. I had a profile saved in Afterburner for it at 950/1900/2250 @ 1.1v. When I got SLI, I wasn't as lucky with this second card, as every single chip is different, and it has nothing to do with the first card being a regular HD and the second card being a DoubleShot, but the DS only seems to be stable at 910mhz or 920mhz. But with SLI, I definately don't need the cards higher than that. And this DS cooler, aside from looking awesome and having 2 fans, keeps the card 5C degrees cooler at all times. With the '920/1840/2250 @ 1.1v' SLI profile I have saved in Afterburner, after 5 minutes of OC Scanner, the temperatures level off at Reference HD-80C and DoubleShot-75C. That's a pretty desirable difference for a card that costs the same as the regular HD and looks a lot better. The DS also has roughly the same dimensions, and is exaclty 9 inches long like the regular HD. I should also mention that this is at a room temperature of 20C/67F. Room temperature makes a HUGE difference on CPU and GPU temperatures. This card is your best option unless you really do have extra money to throw around. The 580 has no where near of an advantage over the 570 to justify the higher price, unless you can get it for $368, which is the 15% price increase over the 570 that matches the 15% performance increase. Anything you pay over $368 for a 580 should be money you can put towards nothing better than paying a premium on an only slightly-better card. If this is your first 570, then it will play every game out there on Medium Settings at 60 frames-per-second, and most games on the highest settings at above 40fps. Overclocked, you will get 60fps in almost all games on the highest settings. It's crazy how demanding some games are. But you could always get one now and a second in the near future. These cards in SLI is amazing. 90fps in Crysis with all 'Very High' settings, 90-100fps in Metro 2033 with all 'Very High' settings and DX11-Mode. EVGA has the best customer service of any company I've ever dealt with. And they are one of few graphics card companies that are actually very open about how overclocking does not void the warranty, so you can rest assured that in the very small chance that you blow your card while using an awesome overclock, you will get a brand new card while under warranty. Mine came with a 3-year warranty, and for only $40 you can extend that to a whole decade if you want! But 3 years would suffice is you plan on upgrading within that time frame. Bottom line is this is the most rational decision for a graphics card for someone on a budget, and EVGA is a great company to buy a card from. I say go with the DoubleShot and get a second for SLI sometime in the future. You will be more than pleased.
