I formerly had purchased a GeForce Galaxy 9600 graphics card and installed it in my HP Pavilion Slimline PC. It was a 512MB DDR3 PCI express 2.0card WITH a built-in fan. After only about 10 months, the fan began to slowly go out, whining,grinding and sometimes stopping. This made the unitoverheat easily, and soon my PC would want to shut down. Well....I replaced it with this new GIGABYTE Ge Force 210 FANLESS silent 1GB DDR3 unit. Itperforms beautifully, and the best part it for me is that it's completely silent, yet stays cool even during heavy gaming action. Although I don't playthe very latest HD games that are extremely taxing on a video card, the ones I DO play are rendered beautifully on this GeForce 210. I'd definitely recommend this card to mid-level gamers, or somewhat graphics intensive program use. It is a low profile card, so it fits in smallerdesktops as well. A plus for me, at least. And the price was right , too. Very affordable.
